Tyringham Residence
Tyringham, MA
2000 sq. ft. Addition

This great room addition and substantial renovation to a 1790’s Colonial was done in a historically sensitive manner. The great room incorporated salvaged Palladian windows, antique timbers, textured veneer plaster, as well as a Rumford fireplace faced with quartzite veneer on the interior and natural fieldstone on the exterior to match ancient stone walls on site. Built-in cabinetry and significant glazing encourage many activities to take place in this great room. The existing house was completely renovated, including all new windows, new bathroom fittings, and existing fireplaces received new stone surrounds, hearths, and traditional mantles. The dining room was fitted with historic inspired wallpaper and an M-Geough chandelier. Interior Design by Keith Lichtman, KL Interiors, NYC.
